^IMO: blogs and other popular communication already exist, yes; and papers serve a distinct function; but it would be ideal if academia found a way of *recognizing* the popular communication in the same way we recognize publications
^odd, lexicographic preferences. Beyond this odd point about speed, the rest of the thread seems like a fully general argument against ever linearizing, which also seems odd
