Best of #econtwitter - JMPs 2021 special edition, part three
ICYMI: JMP special edition part one + special edition part two; and many many JMPs also included in the regular Nov. 7 edition + Nov. 14 editions part one and part two. As always, submissions welcome.
The regularly scheduled, weekly edition returns tomorrow.
Again, plausibly these JMP sections have the highest densities of good content since inception of the newsletter. In even less of a sense of any order than usual:

Hello #Econtwitter
I am a Ph.D. Candidate @UCSDEcon specializing in Macroeconomics.
In my JMP, Cyclical Demand Shifts and Cost of Living Inequality, I show that higher consumer-price inflation for low-income households is a feature of recessions.

Are the pretrial misconduct effects of money bail large enough to justify its costs?
In my JMP, I show 1 instance of pretrial misconduct needs to be at least ~18 times~ as costly as 1 day in detention for money bail to justify its costs.

What happens to young adults if they receive a café voucher during a pandemic?
Not surprising: They visit cafés.
More important: They convince themselves that café visits during a pandemic aren’t risky after all.
